This week I saw aa show by one of my favorite artists, Jacob Hicks at Bobblehaus Gallery in New York City. The show is called “A Place Beyond Heaven” and is up until November 24, 2023!

Jacob is a true master at merging elaborate patterns and designs with highly rendered portraits and figures!

In his artist statement Jacob write: “I view painting as a vital form of self-expression that allows me to explore my own identity and place in the world. By exploring Western art history, the patterns of nature, and themes of gender and racial equality, I hope to create works that are both meaningful and visually engaging.”
