How to Write Your Artist Email Newsletter

This week I’ve been thinking about how important it is for an artist to be sending out e-newsletters and all that I’ve learned about best practices for email marketing.

Email marketing is something that I started doing fight at the beginning of my art career and it’s been a game-changer for me.

One of the most important things about sending regular art updates is that it keeps you looking like an active artist. In the art world, perception is key, and consistently sharing news about exhibitions, awards, commissions, and new artworks at least four times a year has proven to be one of the most effective ways to attract both collectors and galleries. The more active we look the more opportunities magically come to us.

So, if you’re an artist on the rise, don’t underestimate the impact of a well-timed newsletter. Since nobody has attention spans anymore, I like to keep them short, almost point form about recent achievements and include some photos as well.

Leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts and techniques for crafting art update emails.

BTW next Saturday, Dec 2,  I’m offering a Mouth Painting Workshop via Zoom!  I only each this class twice a year so sign up today to avoid having to wait another 6 months! You can find out all about it by clicking HERE.

Have a great week!
